turn around rear fixed sight

El, Cheapo here with today's money saving dumb question.
Can I remove the stock white outline rear sight and turn it around then put it back on the slide?

Reason, so I don't need sight black to cover up the white outline.
I would have a black rear sight with front white dot.
Will this work?

Yes it will work. I just tried that yesterday. The problem I had with the stock glocks is I find the white outline distracting for some reason. But I discovered that an all black rear site can dissapear in some light situations when aiming at a dark colored object. The best thing for me is a single centerline or mark on the center of the rear sight.

Wouldn't it be easier to just use a permanent marker on the white outline?

Tried that. Makes it shiny.
