AR scope?

Any advice on a scope for an AR? Do I really need to spend $300 to get something worth while?

Is this for long range target work on a 20" barreled model? Or for a carbine?

Rifleman with vastly more experience than I all insist not to skimp on your optics. I put an ACOG TA01 on my AR carbine and love it. Looking back, I'd have been wiser to get a Leupold 1-4 or 1.5-5 or something. But the ACOG is superb.

I'm looking for something that will allow me to varmit hunt accurately at 100 to 300 yards. Mostly coyote.

if your gonna use it alot get a good scope.if its for looks dont.also the military looking scopes Ie acog are price to sell to the military.thats why they are rediculously priced.use your head.get a good quality leopuld or evn a burris.
