Hey guys so I shot my second match today and had a blast (no pun intended) but I really need some practice. Are there any drills that I could do at my range that might help me out. I dry fire often and work on my reloads at home but I'm looking for anything I could try at my indoor range that might help. Keep in mind my range is hot and I can draw but it's just a lane with a constant pressure switch on the distance.
Here is a collection of drills that I've compiled from various sites. After reading a lot on Brian Enos's forums, it seems the three most popular drills are:
Bill Drill
Bill Drill – 15 Yards

The IDPA classifier match is also a good set of drills, especially if you have not yet mastered the skills it stresses.

Do you have a link for these, I'm really new to the comp world and have never even heard of these.

+1 - if I shot between matches;), I'd shoot the classifier and I would shoot a lot of drawing and reloading drills. The biggest thing I notice about new shooters is they waste a lot of time drawing and reloading. Do that stuff fast and it leaves you more time to make accurate shots.

Thanks guys, as it turns out my buddy is buying a house with a lot of land and he also wants to buy my sw99 and get into idpa. Soooo I convinced him we "need" to set up a couple stages for practice and we are both in construction so I plan on making some pretty cool stages for us.:)

Bill Drills don't do much for you. Generally it's used to loosen up or gauge performance.
You'd be far better off working on transitions, as this is the real time killer for new shooters(draw and reload have already been mentioned). Use as big a target as you can get, stick pasters on it as far apart as possible, and then practice 2 shots to each paster.
If you're new to the game, then Bill Drills is decent practice for splits, but remember to keep all the shots in the -0 zone.
Steve Anderson has a really good dry fire book, and this would likely help you round out your skills.
