Shot a 161 w/my stock Glock 17. ALMOST made sharp shooter. Thankfully I didn't. ;)

This was my first time in any type of action shooting event. Soooooo Much fun. :rollsmiley:

Good job! I have my first IDPA classifier next weekend. I'm excited yet nervous at the same time. How long did it take you to finish it?

Not to long. It's 90 rounds of ammo shot in 3 stages I've spent the last 2 weeks working on my, draws, holstering, mag changes, and mag changes w/retention. Let me tell you the looks my GF was giving me were classic. ;)

I was able to get ALOT of information off of a thread from the SigForums.

There's some good stuff.

Hey Breech!!

There's actually nothing to it, really.

Just a small bit of advice....try to practice shooting 20 yard shots at CM size targets before you shoot the classifier. It'll help. AND, concentrate on safety and accuracy during the classifier, not speed.

I shoot with a non-sanctioned practical group so I'm a bit familiar with safety etc.. I do however need to work on shots from 15-20 yards.

SIGHT PICTURE, SIGHT PICTURE, SIGHT PICTURE, and never shoot faster than you are accurate. I found myself trying "double taps" which just mean 1 good shot one bad.
