I find i am in need of replacement nite sites for my G21 the factory equipt ones have gone dead, after 14 years i am not complaining:) Anyhow I have been looking on the internet and find there is a bu** load of them. I need a larger than normal front dot due to my failing eyesite. I saw a set of XS expess and was wanting to know if any of you all have tried them. Saw another set looked like the ghost ring set up for shotguns thinking about them also but wonder if have issues with holster and concelability. any how any input from you knowledgable guys would be a big help Thanks:rollsmiley:
If the primary use of your G-21 is personal Defense then the XS Big Dots are a good choice. However, if you ever compete or do alot of target shooting a Good rear(Heinie,Novak) and a Dawson fiber optic front would also be a good choice. The XS sights are fast and as accurate as most shooters but the Standard rear & F/O setup is more precise and plenty visible in daylight(once again do you carry the 21 for pd or do you grab a shotgun/rifle when you hear something in the middle of the night).Definately no lack of choices out there.

It will be for carry when I can get my CCW, I am still considering a G30 for that though but the G21 is ok during the winter around here just hard to hide in summer, used to carry all the time before I retired on and off duty.I used that or a G27 or a Ruger SP101 depending on weather and dress and other variables, I can no longer use the Ruger due to my eyesight and its skimpy sights no longer own the G27 so I am pretty much limited to the G21 for now Don't think my Ruger Vaqueros would work very well for CCW .44 Mag thend to over penitrate a bit even hardcast
What I have recently learned is that the plain black rears such as Heine, Dawson, Warren, etc. are sometimes horrible in certain lighting situations. Especially front side or dim lighting and a dark target. I have the XS and although they may not be as precise, they work under all lighting and target conditions.

XS also makes a Big Dot as well as a Standard Dot for your Ruger
If your looking for concealability I have found thta TRUGLOW's TFO sights are great. They are fiber optic and tritium. These suckers are bright!! Just a third option, but worth checking out.

Meps are on both my Glocks...I like-em..

TFO fan here!
I've noticed that on the truglow website the say they make the TFO for g34/35. Is the TFO front site shorter for the g34 because of the slide cutout, as compared to the standard slide, say of the g17.

I think it is, but I am not positive

I have the tru-glow fiberoptics w/ tritium, and they ROCK!!!
they are metal sights that protect the fiber optic inserts. They are bright in the daytime, as well as in low light.
Jokon.... you are correct about the 34/35 and the sight having to be shorter due to the cut out in the slide. I also recommend to anyone who installs these sights on their 34/35 to make sure they use loctite as well (just to be extra safe). Still the best sites I own.

+1 to Meps, I have a set on my 35 with yellow rear and green front. Tuff as nails and glow like a golden egg.
