You forgot to order one of these but maybe you have one already: http://www.aimsurplus.com/acatalog/Swiss_1931_Carbin_Scmidt_Rubin_K31_7_5Swiss_Cal_.html 68rcodemustang 04-17-2006, 17:35 Originally posted by Bushbacker Wow, what an order. Savage #4 MK 1 handpick MN 91/30 Mauser m24/47 98K handpick m95 carbine are you breaking in a 0% intrest credit card? 22/45 04-17-2006, 18:09 I'm not seeing the 98's on their website. Mind sharing approximately how much it ran you? 97guns 04-17-2006, 18:20 i saw them in their monthly flyer, i think they were $199 or $239 for s coded guns. interordnance is expecting a shipment in at the end of this month, the last time they had them they were $199 or $219 for the s codes. ill be getting an s code off them when they arrive, their last batch was excellent. 68rcodemustang 04-17-2006, 19:48 nope payin' cash. the 98k was $199 for handpick, no s codes. they have guns for sale that are not on their website. don't remember the others. kf4zra 04-17-2006, 20:15 wait till you play with that m95 :) i dont usually shoot more than about 15 rounds thru mine in a day. the kick from that beast makes mosins look wimpy. 68rcodemustang 04-17-2006, 20:53 Originally posted by kf4zra wait till you play with that m95 :) i dont usually shoot more than about 15 rounds thru mine in a day. the kick from that beast makes mosins look wimpy. sounds fun LonghornGlock 04-17-2006, 21:48 Can't wait to try my little Steyr out. Got her all cleaned up and oiled, probably won't have a chance to shoot her for another week or so. 68rcodemustang, give us some feedback on their condition when they come in. I'm very interested in that Yugo 24/47 since I don't have a Yugo mauser in the collection yet. BTW if you like mausers look into getting a Persian example while you can, they are very sweeett! Also cheap Turk Mausers make good cheap boom guns. 68rcodemustang 04-18-2006, 06:10 BTW if you like mausers look into getting a Persian example while you can, they are very sweeett! Samco has some and I almost made an order with them as well. All they have is the excellent condition Persians for $399. I will probably make another order in a week or two. edm1 04-18-2006, 08:23 I should be getting my 4 from SOG today. MN 91/30 MN 44 Yugo SKS 24-47 We'll see how they look. I have heard great things about the 24/47. SOG was out of Bayonetes however. 68rcodemustang 04-18-2006, 08:35 Originally posted by edm1 I should be getting my 4 from SOG today. Please post to this thread how they look so I can know what to expect. thanks edm1 04-18-2006, 15:38 Ok, I got all 4 today. The Only Handpick was the 24-47 and it was REALLY nice. Lots of Cosmo though. The SKS is a $89 special no handpick and it is AWESOME. I am not a SKS fan and just got it to have one. But the wood is Great, and darker not the blond, so I'm happy with that. All numbers match and the bore cleaned up perfect. It nor the MN's had much cosmo on them. The M44 was in OK shape, some of the stock finish is worn but all metal is 100%. The 91-30 is in great shape too. You should be happy. 68rcodemustang 04-18-2006, 16:21 thanks for the update and this makes me feel better about my care package from them. LonghornGlock 04-18-2006, 17:27 Glad to hear the 24/47 are in good shape. If Samco used to charge either $500 or $600 for the excellent Persian, If they are down to $400 that would be a great deal for an excellent. Call them though and make sure these aren't parkerized. For some reason some were parked instead of left blued. Park is great on Garands, not so much on Mausers. BTW did anybody see those neat old pistol replicas SOG had on the front page of their flyer. Tempted to get one and the price ain't bad. edm1 04-18-2006, 20:19 The BP pistols? I was tempted but didn't. Tell me how they are. 68rcodemustang 04-21-2006, 20:09 rifles came in today. I am pretty happy with the quality for price paid on all of them. Will take them out to the range on Sunday to try 'em out. Now if I can only figure out how to put the bolt into the Steyr. LonghornGlock 04-24-2006, 17:26 68rcode, How good was that 24/47 mauser, % blueing, how dinged up is the wood. Was the 91/30 in good shape, steered a buddy of mine to order one of these and he has it coming from SOG. 68rcodemustang 04-24-2006, 17:43 Originally posted by LonghornGlock 68rcode, How good was that 24/47 mauser, % blueing, how dinged up is the wood. Was the 91/30 in good shape, steered a buddy of mine to order one of these and he has it coming from SOG. 24/47 I would say 60% blueing left. 1-10 on dings for the wood I would give it a 8.0 out of 10 as 10 being perfect. Cosmoline on it. Have not shot it yet. for $110 it seem like a great deal. 91/30 looks like it has been reblued and is dark. wood is 7.5 out of 10. very strong firing pin sound. have not shot it yet. for $80 or so it is a steal (to me). I did handpick on both. 97guns 04-24-2006, 18:50 is your 24/47 matching numbered? i hand picked mine for the numbers and ended up getting around a 60-70% blued gun too, my wood is very nice however without any plugs and pretty much dingless. 68rcodemustang 04-24-2006, 19:15 Originally posted by 97guns is your 24/47 matching numbered? i hand picked mine for the numbers and ended up getting around a 60-70% blued gun too, my wood is very nice however without any plugs and pretty much dingless. all numbers match except for the floorplate. Butch 04-24-2006, 19:55 Originally posted by 68rcodemustang Now if I can only figure out how to put the bolt into the Steyr. I have an original M95 in 8x50R caliber, and I took the bolt out of it once years ago. I did get it back in, after a while.....IIRC, try pulling the bolt head forward, away from the bolt body. I don't remember if you have to somehow hold it forward or if it will click into place so you can insert it into the action, I think you'll have to hold it...be careful...you don't want to bleed on a new rifle. If you don't get it let me know and I'll take mine out again to see what it takes to get it back in. (Hopefully someone else will chime in here with great knowledge and experience) :) 8x50R: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0603/ButchG17/Ammo%20pics/8x50Rinclips.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0603/ButchG17/Ammo%20pics/8x50R-1890.jpg :patriot: 68rcodemustang 04-24-2006, 20:53 I figured it out the other day. surplusrifle.com had a how to article. almost drew blood. Apparently mine is of the variety that the bolt head won't stay extended for putting it back into the receiver. I'll have to remember that dime thing.... :) :patriot: vBulletin® v3.7.3, Copyright ©2000-2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd. | ![]() |
