I am located in Auburn, AL and went to the local gun shop and they told me that they don't install NS's on GLOCKS because they find them difficult.
My question is, does anyone know of anywhere around here that will install Meprolights on my GLOCK and actually know what they are doing? :)
Thanks
Scott
Scott, take a ride to Smyrna Ga, call the glock folks, tell them you are coming, they'll do it while you wait. these are good people

Carsoni..
Thanks for the advice. However, I am from Birmingham, and if I was going to travel I would rather go find a installer up there! Thanks though!
Next time I am in Birmingham, I will check the local shops. I guess if worse comes to worse, I'll have to travel to Smyrna, Ga

Scott, Try the gun cellar or southeastern guns. I think they will install them for you...or if you make it to the next gun show, there is a guy that specializes in glock accessories, I KNOW he will install them for you.
Another option would be to mail your slide to one of the many companies that sell night sights( several of which companies are on this board). They will install them and return your slide in a few days. Good luck, Keith

Keith,
I will either take it to Marks-Outdoor (I think they charge $30) or the Gun Cellar the next time I return home. I actually bought my GLOCK 26 from the Gun Cellar.
Where is Southeastern Guns located? Also, when is the next gun show going to roll through Birmingham?
I am totally against shipping my gun off to a company. Did you read about the complications some fellow Glockers had with the Law-17 guy?
Thanks,
Scott
When I saw the title 'Alabama Night Sights', I envisioned a picture of a man in overalls, at night under a full moon, aiming a Glock with one hand and holding a lit BIC lighter with the other next to his rear sight. ;) Git 'r done!
J/K, of course (I'm from Georgia and believe me, I am sure that I know someone who has tried that too)

:rollsmiley: That gave me a good laugh!
Someone needs to take a picture of doing that and put "GLOCK: Easy enough the dumb can use it!"

Go buy some loctite for $3 and you can do it yourself in 10 min. it's easier than you think - i put some ameriglos on my G30 not too long ago w/o a sight tool - piece of cake.

I was thinking the same thing...
Scott,
Where did you go? Locum's, Stories(sp?), or somewhere else? Just wondering.
