rail mount for mag tube?

does anybody make a rail mount that attaches to the magazine tube of a 870 remington? i would like to moumt a small pistol light to it instead of the bigger lights.

Both would be cheaper solutions than the tri-rail,even though it looks good.

I use this one on my 870, along with a First Samco/ Fobus light mount. It works incredibly well, and is very solid. It has indexing notches at three sides, so you can mount the light in whatever position you wish.

Guys some neat ideas and I have seen them before. I just do not like the idea of them being made out of polymer. The one from Laser Devices does cost a lot more, but it is metal and these guys have a very good reputation. If I get one for one of my shotguns I'll post it.

Sidearmor makes something like that for shotguns too. Metal I believe.

The Streamlight I use is steel. Only the actual picatinny rail section is polymer, and that is bolted to a steel piece. It holds dup fine to everyday police use, geting banged up, in and out of the shotgun rack.

Maybe a dumb question, but i'm COMPLETELY new to the tac-shotgun world. I have a bone-stock 870 (18 1/2" barrell, 6+1 shot, i.e. the barrell and mag tube are the same length)

My question is this.. if I purchase one of the Streamlight adapters from Midway, it will attach on the bottom (magazine tube) at the very front, correct? (i.e. in fron tof the clasp that connects the mag tube to the barrell).

Will this work for the TLR-1 as well as the M3?
Is it easy to take the light on and off of the Midway rail (i'd like to share the light between the shotty and my Glock and XD).
