I did a search and read up on Olympic Arms, but it sounds as though their quality has improved. Atlantic Arms offers the Oly A1 Carbine, aka AR15 Plinker .223 with a lifetime warranty and a 60-day money back guarantee for $579. Is their warranty any good, or does it just look good on paper? I wonder if the warranty would cover a barrel if you shot one up. Any feedback on this particular model, and how their barrels hold up? I would be using this for the range as well as self defense, so I would need an ultra-reliable weapon. At $579, is it too good to be true?
Thanks in advance,
Vig
I would advise you to save your money and when you've got a couple hundfred more dollars get a Bushy/RRA made rifle.
Spend a little more and get a lot more quality.

Spend a little more and get a lot more quality. I was gonna say the same thing.
The Plinker model is at the bottom of OLYs product line. Some models had cast instead of forged receivers. Spend a little bit more and get a better AR.
