View Full Version : FLGR voids warranty ArizonaSeven 04-21-2006, 18:38 I understand that aftermarket parts usually do void out manufacturer warranties, but does the FLGR pose some sort of mechanical threat? Blankwaffe 04-21-2006, 22:34 I do not think there is a mechanical threat if we are talking about a pistol like the 97B. But like I said over on CZF,when I inquired about the FLGR for my 97B back in late 2004,CZ-USA told me the aftermarket FLGR would void my warranty. Now take into consideration that there were, and still are, folks making FLGR's from door hinge pins and the like. And that the 97B does not come with a FLGR and there is not a CZ made 97B specific FLGR guide rod. So I believe it may very well be a possible quality and fit issue of the part that got me that response from CZ-USA.Basically a CYA from CZ-USA.And I totally understand. But as Walt over on CZF mentioned,CZ-USA will sell you the 75B .40cal. FLGR to use in the 97B.I was also told the samething by CZ-USA,no mention of warranty claim issues with using the CZ part either. So I seriously doubt there is a mechanical issue involved with using a FLGR in the 97B. So Im willing to bet they are just worried about folks getting a substandard part in the pistola and causing some issues or damage that they are not going to pay to fix. Like I said before,I ran a Jackash FLGR in my 97B for some time and did not have an issue with it.Nor did I see that there would be an issue either. Its a quality made part. HTH gixxer11 04-22-2006, 08:06 I don't really care about the warranty. After the gun was sent to them at my charge, and they didn't fix the thing, they can shove it up their ass. I use a FLGR and 20lb spring since new, now after the bugs are worked out, it is probably the most reliable auto I've got. CZ quality control (at least on the 97) is crap, and honestly, I don't want them messing with "my" gun. Yes, I am a little bitter. Yeah I can tell your a bit bitter.:) I too had a couple problems right out of the box with my 97B.The recoil spring and slide stop took a dump in about 300 rounds.CZ-USA took care of it right away though.Under warranty that is. aubie515 04-24-2006, 22:12 CZ's customer service sucks. My P-01 has 300 rounds through it and the trigger return spring broke. I have been using snap caps to "smooth" the trigger and the trigger spring broke. The "gunsmith" gave me directions on how to repair the spring. I asked him if I needed to punch out the trigger pin on the left or right said and he said I could punch it from either end. I ended up breaking a punch and the punch scratched the hell out of the finish. I finally spoke to someone in charge at CZ...Operations Manager Chris...he said that CZ would more than likely replace my pistol. Well today, I emailed CZ for a shipping address and the girl wouldn't provide me with CZ's shipping address. Here is her respone...sounds like CZ thinks that some of it's customers are idiots. I dont know.... you would be surprised at how many stupid people are out there. Just trying to save you a mistake. People cry about it everyday they forget to put an RA number on the box and then they are out 25.00 or so shipping. You shoud be happy I am trying to look out after you. Plus we do not freely give out our mailing address. I will check with warranty and see if you are on the list. Are we a bit cranky today? By the way. My supervisors name is Sherri Goodwin. I hope you day gets better sir..... Thank you Tammy CZ-USA I am going to be calling her supervisor in the morning...my situation has been handled unprofessional and I intend to give CZ a peace of my mind...I've owned firearms for years and this has been the very first breakage of any sorts with my firearms...the way CZ is handling it's customers...it wouldn't surprise me if more CZ owners stopped buying their product. Berto 04-24-2006, 22:16 Yep..BTDT with CZ service,RAMI .40. Not impressed. Blankwaffe 04-25-2006, 03:52 I guess Im lucky...never a problem with CZ-USA's customer service.I have been treated extremely well by the folks there. Both on the phone and email. As far as the warranty claims and shipping address/instructions,all are on the web site. http://www.cz-usa.com/support_warranty.php?m=5 aubie515 04-25-2006, 05:58 Well that makes it worst...if the address was on the website and the woman still refused to provide me with that information. I am to the point where I will never buy another CZ product again. With poor customer service like this...why bother when I have HK's and Glocks. TacticalShot 04-25-2006, 09:16 That email reply from CZ was very unprofessional. Why don't you forward a copy of it to the head of the Service Department or to her supervisor. It's almost as if the person who wrote the email was asking to be fired. aubie515 04-25-2006, 15:25 I called CZ today and spoke to her supervisor Sherri Goodwin. I told her that I am also a manager and I would not tolerate that unprofessional behavior from an emmployee. I told Sherri that I would forward her the emails, so she could see for herself. seamus 04-29-2006, 07:42 Let us know what happens please. I own several CZ's but have never had a problem bad enough to have to contact them. I'm disgusted by the attitude the young lady took with you. I work with the public daily and wouldn't have a job long if I took her approach! Butcher 05-10-2006, 16:20 incase yall dont read czshooters.com, aubie ended up getting a new gun. the status of the rude CZ customer service rep wasnt discussed. i hope she got fired pnarq5 05-10-2006, 21:40 Originally posted by Butcher incase yall dont read czshooters.com czshooter.WHAT? casmot 05-11-2006, 08:44 Originally posted by pnarq5 czshooter.WHAT? Also, I love to give Butcher a hard time! vBulletin® v3.7.3, Copyright ©2000-2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd. | ![]() |
