A1 upper with M4 barrel project

Gents,
One of my older guns is a CAR with a 16" barrel. I was thinking of rebarreling this A1 upper with an M4 barrel. Have any of you done this?

Umm.....why?

The A1 barrel is just about as light as the M4. Since i highly doubt you'll be mounting an M203 grenade launcher, other than for "cool" look stuff, it would serve no purpose.

The 14.5" M4 barrel with a welded flash suppressor or if you are lucky, an AOW classification can mount a bayonet.
The 16" CAR barrel cannot.
There would be no issues in actually doing the rebarrel, pretty straight forward changeover.
