View Full Version : M4 stock sling points
Thinking of getting a sling and buying quick disconnect mounts, one for the rail in front, and the other to go to the slot in the stock.
Anyway, my question is after I do this, I will have the stock swing loops not being used.
Can I remove them, or are they permanently attached?
Thanks.

For the front, get a Side Sling Thing from GG&G I beleive, which mounts in the same place as a regular front, just sideways. Otherwise you take up rail space.
The rear on a standard collapsible will unscrew.
See the post in GNG "MrMurphy's M4 and gear at work" and you'll see what I'm talking about on the front, that's the setup I use.
So, should I get a sling thing for the back, or just loop it through the slot in the stock?
It would be much cheaper if I'm only buying a sling thing for the front.
