Newbs first build and dumb question.

I'm building a stag lower using a RRA parts kit. Is it common for the pistol grip to need some filing/trimming to fit on the flange on the lower? Mine seems to be a tight fit and I don't want to break anything by forcing it.

Do you mean you can't get it on there, or do you mean that it's just tight? I don't recall ever having an issue like this before.

Sometimes (most times, actually) I have to use a hammer to lightly tap the pistol grip on to the flange. It's normal to be a tigt fit, but it will get there.

Finally got it lined up right. Three AM is not the best time to assemble a sensitive machine like an AR.
