View Full Version : Can anyone tell me what velosity Trijicon used
in the ACOG model TA39RCO A4 for the full length 20'' upper. I know that Trijicon told me 6 mos. ago the the TA-39F was set up for velosity 3050 FPS I have tried calling them all day yesterday and could not get anyone to answer the cotton-picking phone...
Any help would be most appreciated

I have NEVER seen Trijicon associate their BDC with bullet speed. Typically, the ACOG's without a flattop mount are setup for 55gr ammo. ACOG's that come with a flattop mount (TA31F, TA31DOC, TA01NSN) are configured for a 62gr ammo.

hijack - Grant, do you have an estimate of when you'll get the special edition CMT uppers in? Is there a wait list? Thanks. (Have you shot one and how do you like it?)

You mean the 14.5's? They are not making them any more. You are also better off with a BCM 14.5 IMHO (better components).

C4 PM sent.
Grant,
I called Trijicon today and they told me that the NSN model is calibrated for 62 grain bullet traveling 2800 FPS out of a 14.5, The TA-31F is calibrated for 62 grain bullet traveling at 3050 FPS. The RCO A4 is the same as TA-31F except it has "leading stadia lines"

Great! I am not sure what it matters though as TRUE mil-spec ammo is next to impossible to come by.
When I sell ACOG's I tell people to get the model they want and not to pay attention to the BDC as they most likely won't shoot mil-spec ammo, don't have the right twist rate and or barrel length (my .02).
