I spent today looking for a Stag complete upper after finding out the one I ordered from AIM a month ago will be in next week. This is the fourth consecutive next week I've been hearing that. After checking ar15.com and finding that all the regular vendors are sold out and are expecting to be restocked "next week" I've been getting kind of perturbed.
Does anyone know of someone with instock right handed Stag uppers? I believe the one I'm looking for is the 2H.
Here's a pic.

Thanks in advance and please don't mind the whining.

If you want to play this(AR)game you have to be able to wait.
You picked a good upper and there is a reason there out of stock.
Waiting for the chosen parts on a build is the worst part.
I'm waiting on an AK build 5 months.
Waiting on Poly lower(AR)8 Months two dealers.Shipped:)
If you wanted that model in Olympic its probably in stock.

They are always available direct from Stag. I've bought some from them, and the price is good and they ship right away.
Usually Jon over at www.nwtactical.net has them in-stock. I'd give him a call/mail. I've bought several things off him in the last year or two, and have always had exceptional service. Heck, he even 2-day'd a Stag upper for me last year so I could have it in time to finish the rifle for my dad's b-day (at no extra charge).
Somebody like that I'll keep on giving my money to...
I'd call up the guys at AIM and cancel the order if Jon's got one in stock he can send you.

Try Denny at GTS. Graet guy to work with. $94 for the upper and shipping is usually free. I usually have my order within 2 days.

Thanks for the help guys but everywhere that was mentioned is sold out. Yes. Even Stag is on backorder.
Oh well. I guess I'll have to play around with the Mauser surplus I got at the gun show last weekend.
I would be curious of .22 lr uppers for an AR. The few I've found have been as much as the standard upper though.
Thanks.

In lieu of the apparant shortage of Stag uppers going around I've been researching other options.
The one in the lead is here. (http://www.globaltactical.com/axami/shop.php?grd=310&prd=314)
I've read quite a few good things about BCM and they are a GlockTalk sponsor. Hey, that counts. I'd like to get some feedback on that. What would be required for that to make that work? I understand that it would need a bolt and bolt carrier as well as a handguard and BUIS. Is that all that would be neccessary to pin it to the lower and go shooting? What are everyone's thoughts on midlength gas systems as opposed to carbine systems? My reading has prompted me to believe that it increases reliability or at the very least decreases stress on parts. Is this accurate?
Thanks for reading.

The Bravo midlegnth is an excellent upper; I've got one and it is terrific. The link you posted however, is not for the upper but for the barrel alone.
Bravo is backordered on the uppers.
Try Del-ton.com. They make nice uppers.

The BCM uppers are outstanding. Recommended.
I would opt for them over the Stag offerings.
I'm not as enamored of the midlengths (of any manuf) as many, but am not a pundit, either. I haven't seen the benefits (vice standard carbine) materialize in the samples around, nor can I otherwise find a compelling reason to choose them.
