My dad just bought a rem. 223 bolt and he bought a kit to moly-coat the barrel. Apparantly this is supposed to extend life of the gun. I was thinking that this may be an acceptable way of making the Yugo barrel last a bit longer, not that they don't last as it is, but may be a good replacement for the lack of chrome lining.
I'd do it if the bore was exceptionally bad (as most of the recent imports seem to be).
It might take up some of the 'slack' in the bore and give slightly better groups, as well as slightly higher velocities.
But since all tolerances were purposely kept loose for reliability it is difficult to get much better than 2MOA from these things.
My Yugo turns in the best groups when I turn off the gas system and run it as a straightpull bolt rifle instead of a semiauto.

Bringing up an old post of mine. I was thinking of moly coating to protect a good barrel and potentially increase accuracy? Anybody else have comments or thoughts?
