View Full Version : Finally a photo of my recoil system.
ok heres a view of my recoil system I promised. Its my final prototype before I make a producion model. Please note, the 3 screws and 1 weld are NOT in the producion part. Also the rear is rounded off. I will get a photo as soon as I get some from the parts shop. About 2 weeks. So here goes.
Now a close up. Sorry about blurr, couldnt be helped. And the I droped the cammera. I think its broken.
So what do you guys think? Please leave some comments, good or bad.
So how does the recoil system work?
Is this kind of like a AK or a M1 Carbine?
Well you must have shortened the BC in order for it to retract far enough. Possibly using a recoil spring inside the BC.
Whatever it is, given the frantic interest in all things AR these days, it could be a big hit. But you have drastically altered the operation of the rifle so the big question will be function and reliability.
If you can put a few 100k rounds through it, I'd say people will snatch them up like hot cakes. If you were to beef up the stub and use it as the pivot point of a folding stock that would have a lot of appeal. I'm skeptical, but good luck!
The bolt carrier is altered. But the weapon functions 100% reliably.
Because of how the BC works in conjunction with the hammer, you cannot put a spring inside the BC.
Possable folding stock one the way.

Cant say. But I can say it works perfectly.
Very innovated Lump. Keep us informed. Although I am not a fan of AR pistols, you may make alot of people that cant have SBR's very happy.
