I was checking to see how the Pearce Plus Two Extension for Glock 9mm magazines fit on the G39 magazines, and I discovered a couple of things FYI.
As expected they only added one round of capacity to the magazine. No biggie, of course they are designed as +2's for the 9mm's so naturally we will only be able to add one more 45 caliber round.
The other thing I discovered and which totally surprised me. You know how the Clinton ban magazines have those ridges on the inside in order to limit the rounds that can be loaded in the magazine tube? Well, the G39 mags have similar ridges also. I bet without the ridges we could probably get one more round in the magazine, if not get the ones that we can get in there a bit easier. I wonder why the hell Glock did that?
I don't know if these are the latest or older extender baseplates, part number PG-G9P2, but I dont' like them because they don't come with a locking plate, or provisions to use the stock one. The Pearce model number PG-2733 has a plate and the hole in the baseplate. It also only adds one round of capacity.
