View Full Version : Replacing rear sight on 92FS Inox?
Is there a secret to this? I gave it a pretty good rap with a rod and hammer.....didn't budge at all. Do I need a gunsmith? Thanks! :)

Stop hitting it.Please.It's not gonna move that way. You're just gonna tear up the sight and probably scratch you finnish.A Beretta 92FS has a spring and nub thingy under the rear site. You have to remove the fireing pin for it relax. To remove the fireing pin you have to remove the safety. If you feel comfortable removing the safety it will tap right off.(from right to left for removal and left to right for installation)There's detailed information at the berettaforum.net in the smithing section that will walk you thru the safety removal. It's not tricky or hard but you do need basic tinkering skills to do it.
Thank you!!! I will check out the correct way to do this.
I like how you said, "stop hitting it......please." Sounds like something someone might say to a dog-beater.
