I love the living crap-ola out of my PCR but I really wish it were SA instead of DA. I contacted CZ about doing a conversion but they said they don't that. So what I want to know is:
What would it take to do a DA > SA conversion?
Are there any reputable smiths who can do this?

How about a CZ-75 Compact ( http://www.czusa.com/product_detail.php?id=36 )? Can be carried cocked & locked, or hammer down for a DA first shot. The ergonomics are pretty much the same, but the Compact is .4 lbs heavier than the PCR (the Compact has a steel frame, where the PCR has alloy.)

Well yeah, I could get a Compact, but I like the alloy frame of the PCR. So back to my original questions, what would it take and who can do it???
Not trying to be a wiseguy here but I assume you mean converting the decocker to a safety so you can carry cocked and locked. The hammer on my PCR is pretty easy to draw back with my thumb. Why not just train to do that quickly instead of dropping it off safety if you don't want to fire the first round DA? I don't have any experience with it but I've heard that the SA trigger is lighter on the CZ SAs. You could probably fix that with a trigger job. BTW my trigger has improved in both modes since I picked up a great deal on a Kadet Kit for $150 and ran a lot of 22 rounds through it to get the trigger hardware broken in cheaply and without so much cleaning of the original slide and barrel. I did not expect the accuracy and reliability that came with the Kadet Kit at all. It would have been well worth the $250 most places get for it.
