Hey folks, I've been eyeing a CZ-40P for a few months now. I can get one at the gun shop new for $285. For those with experience, what are your impressions? Is it accurate? Could it be a carry piece? Thanks for any input.

Now for the not so good, Trigger takes about a couple hundred rounds or dry fires with a snap cap to feel good, no high cap mags. Other than that a very well made pistol. I carry mine on a daily basis and trust my life on it. That is a good price as well. Buy it, shoot it, enjoy it. stiletto raggio 05-26-2006, 22:39 Somewhat old post, but I thought about getting one and turned a friend onto it for his first gun. I ended up with a 97 and an SP-01 on the way, but the the 40 is a fine gun indeed. Atlasx 06-21-2006, 09:37 I like the CZ40P so well I bought 2 more, it has been the most accurate out of the box pistol I own.....I do not carry one but I don't see why it couldn't be. good shootin' Atlasx:) paccw 07-19-2006, 16:16 Originally posted by Atlasx I like the CZ40P so well I bought 2 more, it has been the most accurate out of the box pistol I own.....I do not carry one but I don't see why it couldn't be. good shootin' Atlasx:) You have 3 and don't carry them.:freak: You know something we don't? And why no high caps.Alot of gun makes seem to only make 40 cal in 10 round mags. It's the red headed stepchild of gun calibers. Atlasx 07-19-2006, 17:53 yes, I own 3 CZ40P's and also 20 odd other pistols, 3 CZ52's. , a CZ75B, CZ07B, a Glock22 a Glock24C a couple other 45ACPs a couple KelTec 380's. I am not in law enforcement, I just like to shoot handguns, I do carry one of the .380s because it is so small.... I might buy a Karh 45 I like the size, I don't like 9MM, if I carry anything other than .380 it will be a .45ACP also have a couple revolvers but wouldnt carry those either ,the 40P operates fine, I would trust it, it is simply a bit too heavy and large to carry...its all a matter of preference.....I like my Springfield 45 XD Tactical but wouldn't carry it either...too big but fun to shoot!!! I hope this answers your question..... good shootin' Atlasx:) vBulletin® v3.7.3, Copyright ©2000-2010, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd. | ![]() |
