View Full Version : Tim Horton's Coffee in Afghanistan
Saw a news last week about Canadian soldiers missing the much sought after coffee shop in Canada, Tim Horton's Coffee (and donuts).
Tim Hortons have decided to open an outlet at the Canadian Forces base, and Tim Hortons employees must pass a training conducted by the Canadian Forces in order to be assigned in Afghanistan. Training includes what to do in an attack and wearing gas masks.

...and i suppose wearing a gas mask will shield them from flying shrapnel and incoming fire...

Some traininings better than no training.
If they were going to make them into uber mall ninja's, they might as well give them decent pay, forget about the coffee and put them in a combat unit.

sa nerve agents
well, if they can't fight with a firearm then might as well defend themselves with strong coffee!!!
then they get coffee nerves...
Next thing you know Krispy Kremes will be in Kabul :)
Ahhh.... Krispy Kreme.
Buti na lang, Gonuts Donuts comes somewhat close
(when still warm), or I'd be a basket case by now.
Hold on... I'm a basket case anyway.
But a basket case with a dozen good donuts!
:)

Puede na rin yung Gonuts pero iba talaga yung Krispy Kreme. Meron din nga ako tshirt na krispy kreme eh.
Who has the best coffee here locally ba? Parang na-a-addict na kasi ako sa coffee ngayon.
hmmm...that's a tough but subjective question. i personally don't go for any of the coffee bars whether starbukols, siokoy's beast or pigarong. i do get my fill of caffeine in my line of work but coffee bars can't seem to fill that need. i'd rather go to the nearest sidewalk "turo-turo" where the coffee has that genuine flavor(enriched with sidewalk "splatter" and lots of "evap") 24-hours pa!!!at hindi bawal ang NO SMOKING!!!!)

figaro's blend is excellent but their pastries suck!
Mocha Blends from Australia (SBMA) serves good coffee. I just don't know if they have outlets in other areas.
wala pa ring tatalo sa burger machine:clown:

di kasi ako nakain ng pastries eh :)di nakakabusog
kung ako get a french press nalang , sa sosyal na groceries meron malaki at mura ( bought mine sa uniwide 99p lang )
Then have your fave blend ground sa coffee shop at sa bahay/office nalang magtimpla ng kape. You have to store it sa freezer o sa vacuum container or aasim
edited- sosyal dito ang uniwide nyahaha
