If you have, let me know what your setup is, and post any pictures you may have.
I've got a K98 and a M48....not sure which I'll scope just yet, but I'm leaning towards the K98.
Thinking along the lines of a traditional scope & mount, rather than a scout setup.
Thanks.
Nope, I'm keeping mine stock. I have a Gew98
However, the Shotgun News link (http://www.shotgunnews.com/) just put out a large magazine with a collection of all their Mauser stories. I picked it up at the Books A Million here in Fayetteville, NC. It has 10 sections in it called "turn that junker into a classy sporter"
Here's some info I found on their website Converting a military mauser (http://www.rifleshootermag.com/gunsmithing/RSgunsmith4/index.html)

I have been thinking about doing this also. I've been researching scope mount options. I want to scope one of my Yugo 24/47's.
I have used the scout type scope setup on several rifles and have a scout mount on my MN M38 but I personally don't like the scout mounts much.

I found this mount, which looks pretty nice. Just need to inlet the stock a bit.

I thought about trying to find an original German scope & mount, until I found out what they cost.
