I finally got my first 1911. I had to wait a while for it to come in, and it came in on my birthday (Perfect Timing). A brand new STI Trojan. It's my Birthday/Anniversary present from my wife. I got a call this afternoon from the gunstore saying it was in, and me and the wife went right over. I put 50 rounds down range, and it was flawless, and accurate. I have 7 Glocks, and I figured it was time to start rounding out my collection. It's going to be my single stack gun for USPSA. I won't bore you guy's with pic's of a stock Trojan, since I'm sure you all know what they look like. I post pics when I get some upgrades. I have one question. Where is the best place to get mags? I was looking at ACT-Mags (Novak), Wilson, or Chip McCormick. Thanks in advance.

Wow! No help for the new 1911 guy. Does anyone have any advise on what mags to get, and who sells mags the cheapest?
Talk about your small worlds. I'm a Glock guy too, and this past Monday I picked up my first 1911. Good luck, man.
mec-gar, wilson combat, and chip mccormick are arguably the best mags out there. i couldnt find any chip mccormick mags cheaper than direct from their website (chipmccormick.com). i know u can get mecgars and wilsons cheaper than their respective websites, just i dont have the bookmark on me right now. there's a glocktalk member with his store in his signature line. best i can describe it is a red/white/blue text ad. i'll try to find it for you
Natchez usually has the Wilson 47D mags for a great price. The mags are outstanding.

Thanks for the help. I have another question, what is the difference between the match grade, and the shooting star mccormick mags? Is it just the tolerence, or does one actuall work better?
