I had to send my PM9 back to Kahr for barrel peening problems in Feb. with only 300 rds (3 days old). The corners of the barrel hood was being mashed up, making a hump on top of the hood. I had no marks on the inside of the slide. Kahr replaced barrel and slide.
This time after 1100 rds (3 months old) I noticed shiny marks in the inside of the top part of the slide (in a curved area). My barrel hood has matching marks where the hood is hitting the inside area of the slide. The hood has small dents in it from hitting the hood.
Is this going to get worse?
It's not the same peening problem I had before, this time the hood is dented instead of being mashed up.
See photos and tell me if I should be concerned.
Inside of slide, the curved area that you see to the left of center is shiny metal (hood contact area).
