I had an opportunity to do some field testing today with "oldgrandpa" from www.ktrange.com -- known for his "wetpack" testing method.
We tested DPX loads in .380, 9mm+P, and .40 S&W during today's session. The test firearm for the .40 S&W was the Kahr PM40.
Five rounds were loaded into the magazine to ensure proper function through a completely loaded magazine. All rounds fed, fired, and ejected without difficulty. Shooting distance was approximately 6-7 feet, typical self defense shooting distance.

The layers of the wetpack were carefully removed to reveal and recover the bullets. As each bullet was found, a measurement was taken to determine the bullet's penetration into the wetpack.
All bullets fired from the PM 40 produced complete expansion -- and penetration of 9.5 to 10 inches.

I believe that Corbon has a winner with the Barnes-X bullet loaded into the DPX cartridge. Results were similar in the 9mm+P through the HK P7M8.

I feel completely comfortable carrying this product in a CCW in the calibers tested today. I just received a shipment of DPX in .45 ACP and plan to test it in pistols with a variety of barrel lengths...report will follow.
Many thanks to oldgrandpa for his time, effort, experience, and fellowship in conducting these tests.
