Yesterday, my range card had free rental and ammo of my choice. So after putting 100 rounds through my G30, I selected a Kimber Custom Stainless. The 50 rounds of range ammo was not marked. I had some ten failures to extract the fired case from the chamber. I was so bummed.
I've rented a G30 there a couple of times before buying mine, and their pig-sty dirty G30 didn't give me any problems. The Kimber didn't look all that dirty, though the RO said they would give it a cleaning after I told him about how it performed.
What do you guys guess the real root cause would be? I'm curious as I still want a 1911 someday soon if only because you just have to have at least one :)
My jam clearing skills were sorely lacking (slow and clumsy) after shooting GLOCKs so much lately.
Made me want to hug my G30 and pet its fat little Tennifer head.
