I have a friend with a mod 17 glock..30,000 rds and the slide is peened about 3x worse than this pic.

so if your kahr barrel peens a bit on the side remember it is not just kahr.

Whatever makes you feel better about your Kahr... :laughabove: :rollsmiley: :laughabove:
Edit: you do realize that the wear on the Glock slide doesn't impede its operation like the barrel peening on Kahrs do. The Glock peening eventually stops while the Kahr's just keeps on peening...

Two noteworthy factors that you have overlooked:
1. Most of the Kahr peening issues are with the barrel hood. Which directly effects lockup.
2. From threads in this forum, most of the problems come about at well under 3K rds. < 10% of your "friends" Glock 17.

Old news. Very common on Glock .40s, but I've never seen any accounts of malfunctions attributed to it.

It is also common, and uneventful, on Glock .40s. I'll scan and post an excerpt from The 2006 Gun Digest of Combat Handgunnery, 5th edition. Massad Ayoob (ever heard of him?) is this year's guest author.
Yes, Glock's do peen, and unfortunately in my case, they also blow up (rare I know but when you are the one holding the thing when it lets got, you remember).
These things are machines fellas, no better, and no worse than the car you drive or the computer that crashed on you last year. If you like it, you get it fixed. If not, find another one.
