When we would go to our gun range/shop we would fondle all variaties of guns. She paid very close to which ones made my trigger finger hard. Other than that, she just knows what is desirable in a gun like this.

Very nice man. My bday is June 9th and my GF just surprized me as well. For xmas she bought me a HK P2000 and 2 days ago I got quite a surprize when she blindfolded me and drove me to a local shop where she had set-up for my early bday present...a NIB STI RANGER2 with a hardchromed slide.:shocked: :) Im still drooling over it.

Dont worry we've been dating for 5 years and im sealing the deal this year. Ill only post pic at your request I dont wanna steal the thunder from your post. Again, very nice piece.:)

Her birthday is 6-7 and I feel the need to recipicate the favor. A 1911 is a must, and Springer is a company I feel good about. So I will have to see what my shop has available.

And yes, im very glad I found someone that will go shooting with me and she also carries the S&W637 with +p corbons daily. Its gettin hard these days to find women that enjoy shooting. :)

Congrats on the Pistols fellas. My birthday just past on the 15 of this month, and my wife got me a NIB STI Trojan. My father got me a NIB Winchester 44mag lever action rifle, and a NIB Remington Spartan double barrel shotgun. This year was a great birthday.

I just got back from sending 150rds downrange outta my new STI. Given the tight tolerances i wasnt surprized to have 5 failure to return to battery problems. The gun is still in its breakin period. O and damn did it shoot, woah, hole in hole. This is DEFF a keeper.

I just got the same gun 2 weeks ago. My first trip to the range was a disaster. I got about 40 rounds of ammo through it and a pin flew out of the rear sight. I took it to the gunsmith and he said the hammer strut and safety were also broken and some spings were bent.
I was very disappointed. It is a very nice pistol. I can't wait to get it back from springfield.

207 rounds, 57 where JHP, 1 FTF. Not bad. And the gun just feels right. Smooth and tight, balanced and controlable. I am looking forward to getting to really know this weapon. Am I gushing?
