Colt Defender gunsmithing/ trigger job question

Looking for experiences, advise and recommendations for gunsmithing on a Colt Series 90 Defender.

I am especially interested in having a "triggerjob" done.

I have had some smiths indicate to me they would not work on the Defender.

Any insight as to why the Defender would be a problem for a smith to work on would be appreciated.

The Defender has the same trigger parts as any Colt series 80 1911, so I can't imagine why they wouldn't do trigger work on them.

Maybe "they" don't like the series 80 parts or the 3" bbl,etc,etc.
If that's the case, they did you a favor... you can find someone that really knows what they are doing. ;)
