did I find a Makarov you will like.
Yesterday, on the first row at the Dallas gun show, a dealer from NW Texas was selling one of his personal Maks.
Normally I'm not much on a shiny chrome finished gun but this one was special. The finish was exceptionally well done and is spotless. I think the dealer said he never shot the gun.
The picture doesn't do it justice, I have trouble getting a good picture of shiny chrome guns.
I'm a shooter, not a collector, but this Mak may stay a show piece. I'd hate to scratch it.
Before you ask, it was $340.:)

Bling-bling. I can't say I like it, but as the owner of a Pimp Mak myself, I can't blame you.

Very nice M2! I have an EG that was "refurbished" by the Germans before it was exported. The finish is dull and the internal parts don't match. Perfect for a chrome job. One of these days ...
$340?!?
Stolen I say! ;)

M2 seen that gun, And his eye's lit up like a Red headed step child. He offered to let me buy it. I wasn't about to hurt his feeling. Plus I know he'll let me shoot it at least once.;) Maybe he'll post a picture of the Russian Mak. That's the one he hides, When he see's me coming.

In the late 60's I had a GI 1911A1 that had an excellent shiny chrome finish and was in a nice presentation box.
I didn't like shiny chrome guns, so sold it for $75.

That reminds me of a quote that is attributed to Patton. Someone asked about the pearl-handled grips on his pistol and he said they weren't pearl, they were ivory-handled and only a cheap pimp in a New Orleans whorehouse would have pearl grips. :)

M2, that is a sweet looking Mak. I know you have at least a dozen other Mak shooters, so I would agree to leave that one as is.

I really like the P-64s SA trigger pull. It is the DA that was rediculous. I literally though the saftey was on.
Too bad they don't make them SAO 1911 style. ;)

I got to try a P64 a couple of weeks ago. The DA was so heavy that I physically could NOT get the hammer to drop with just my trigger finger - had to add the index finger from the other hand to get it to go off. Never felt a trigger like it. As epsylum said, though, the SA trigger action was just fine.
The chrome looks good and Richard, all your guns look good.
Hell,the bore is chromed,why not?:)
