Fiber Optic with ported G35 barrel burnt front sight

Shot one mag woth my new G35 Storm Lake 6 port Barrel, (VERY sweet to shoot)with new fiber optic sights. Front sight smoked up after one mag and unusable. Probably going back to OEM sights. Anyone else have this problem? Solution ideas?

What brand of FO? I've had no problems with my ported barrel with Dawsons FO fronts.

I'm using the (Lone Wolf pn# HIV-GL1001) HI-VIZ tactical front sight (see their catalog cover). Great sight if I wasn't using a slide-portrd barrel and the sight didn't extend into the slide cutout. I hear it isn't so bad with a Lone Wolf barrel; different port type. Blackened with several ammo brands in one mag. Solved the problem buy using a JPoint slide mounted red dot. and reinstalling the front OEM sight.
