View Full Version : anyone using the Redi-Mag2?
Boonie Packer has come out with a new version of the Redi-Mag, one with an independent release for the second magazine so it doesn't automatically drop out when you hit the rifle's magazine catch. I have looked at a Redi-Mag for years, but the full magazine falling free was always a bit of a turn off. Has anyone gotten one of the new ones?

More weight, off balances the rifle, can't get to the bolt release as easy and it'd hang up a 3pt sling like crazy.

Bonk,
That looks like a good way to hide the bolt catch even more than a Redimag already does....
They make a bolt catch extension so you can still easily manipulate it. I think its a viable alternative for those that have to carry a second mag close at hand... like on our patrol rifles where I work.
