Got my kit from Del-ton yesterday. Had it delivered to work, so I got to do a little show and tell for some co-workers. Put the parts in/on the lower after work, slapped the upper on, and I was standing there in the basement with a big ole ****-eatin' grin on my face. Anyway, here are the build specs:
DPMS lower
Wilson Arms 1:9 chrome-lined 16" barrel
flat top upper with t-marks
ergo sure grip ambi
phantom 5C2 flash hider
M4 6-position buttstock
Yankee Hill Machine 4-rail light weight free float tube
Leuopold high detachable rings
Tasco scope that I had on my .22 LR (I think it's a 3-9 x 40)
Pro Mag vertical foregrip
AR-Stoner 30-round mags (3)
The lower was $110 + $10 ship + $20 xfer ($140 tot). Kit was $635 + $10 ship ($645) (upper came all assembled, headspaced, and test-fired). Scope and rings worth about $46 and the three mags + VFG add up to another $40 + shipping. Adds up to a little under $900. Figured I might as well do it how I want it to begin with instead of buying a basic and then buying upgrade parts later.
Not sure if I'll keep the scope on it or not. A buddy of mine has a detachable carry handle that I'm going to try out to see how I like the old iron sights. Also have some textured rail covers coming from magpul. Can't wait to get out and shoot this thing.
