Just finished setting up 4 tower trailers. I think we're going to be running W5ZN, N5HU, and AB5ER. Not sure which others.

See you on the air!

If at home I'll be a 1E but I may run with a club for awhile..
Seems it's raining like sideways here and I got an army tent they all of a sudden want to borrow..

PS. First post on glock talk. Does it get any better than Glocks and ham radio?

Welcome TJ. Yes, it does get better as we also have forums for cars, motorcycles, flying, yada, yada, yada.... everything a good little gun nut could wish for. ;)

I'm not licensed but I hung out at the fairgrounds yesterday with guys from the Montgomery County Amateur Radio Emergency Service to see what they do. Watched some CW for a while, observed some folks putting up towers/beams and then headed on home.

The guys got front page coverage in the paper today...

While looking over the ARRL site today I came across a great story on a guy that worked a field day from his driveway, and he put notices out to his neighborhood to attract attention.

I thought that was a very good way to bring attention to the hobby, which is part of what Field Day is supposed to encompass.

Another great FD.

Approximately 5100 contacts including 4 on VO-52.

I will post pictures once they get up on the web.

Its time for a 2007 field day bump. Here are the pix from the last 4 years with our group. We set an alltime record for 3A last year with over 18K points.

I think we'll be running W5ZN again. It's nice to have the ARRL prez close by.

For some reason, we seem to get more resonses that way.
