View Full Version : G36 Upgraded Feed Ramp
How do you know if you have a 36 with an upgraded feed ramp? I'm going looking for a new 36 soon and I know they have had some issues in the past. How can you tell if the ramp is of the newer version. New gun doesn't neccessarily mean upgraded ramp. They dealer could have had the gun in stock for a while. By the way how do the 230 gr GD's shoot from this gun?
Upgraded feed ramp is news to me...I bought a new G36 a few months ago and have had no problems after 1500 rounds. Very easy to CC..

1st Gen G36 feed ramp has a shallow trough in the middle of it; a shallow "dip". Upgraded feed ramp closely resembles that of a 1911. On my G36, the upgrade still doesn't feed reliably with really wide-open hollow points.
I guess I got lucky...The G36 I have has no problems with Gold Dots..

I just purchased a brand new G36 that was made in 2002. The serial number starts with "EW". I spoke with a glock rep. and he told me the feed ramps were only a problem on the D series G36. Hope this helps. If you have a question just call their customer service.
