20 rd mag. chest rig?

Recommend me a good chest rig designed for 20 rd mags. I want to have something to compliment my varmint AR which I mostly use twenty rounders on.

Every chest rig I know uses 30 rounders as this is the standard mag.


Try Tactical Tailor or SOE and see if they'd custom make you one.

I would recommend getting a MOLLE vest and then shopping around Tactical Tailor or Blackhawk for the 20 rnd mag pouches. That way youre not restricted to one type of vest and you could customize your gear to your specific needs.

I like the TT 2 peice MAV. That would help when going prone, if only I can find mod pouches. Is TT reasonable on custom prices?

I believe the easiest solution to getting a chest rig for 20 rounders would be to take a chest rig for 30 rounders and put a spacer in each mag pouch which would allow you to insert the 20 rounders.

that may be the easiest solution. maybe cut foam blocks and shove em in the bottom, then I can pull em out and use it for 30 rounders when I want. cheaper than two sets of pouches....

Recommend against foam, which will absorb, retain, and transfer moisture, not to mention dissolve and contaminate your mags and ammo with little bits of matter your gear is best without.

get 1 of the older cloth bandolers safety pin the strap to the center or wear it diagnal across your chest.
