She was running after a robbery suspect who shot her with a .22LR.
Such a small caliber but it can do a lot of pain.
They say that the .22lr is a mousegun, but it was the caliber that nearly ended Ronald Reagan's life when an assassin tried his luck on Reagan.
I'm sorry to hear about the officer. I pray that the doctors are wrong in their analysis and she recovers fully well. Where was she hit?

The BG drew the "Mousegun" from his front waistband, during the scuffle, he fired a shot hitting her on the side torso then the bullet travelled throughout her body.
JT,
I recalled an incident where a .22lr was used. It happened months before we left the Philippines in 2004. My friend's wife's lending firm in Bacolod was held up by five men. My friend's brother-in-law drew a Beretta 22lr pistol loaded with CCI Stingers. He didn't have any extensive firearms training that he only shot the BG once in the chest. The BG was able to fire his 1911 and hit one of the lending firm's employee who was permanently disabled. He then spun like crazy and was incapacitated. The other BGs ran away.
The BG died in an hour later in the hospital.
