View Full Version : G30 mags and pouches
Anybody having problems with getting 10 rounds in a 10 round clip. I can force them in but the clip will not seat in the gun so I just use 9 rounds. Also I have decided to carry an extra mag. I was thinking Kydex and clip on. Will try leather but definitely a clip on.Any ideas?

When you load 10 in a 10, don't slam the mag in. Insert the mag, then firmly press up till you get a click. It WILL seat, it just isn't easy.
For mag carriers, try the clip on models from Comp-Tac.
Will they eventually loosen up. I dont want to be in a situation where I dont know if the mag is seated well.

This is good advice. I've had my G 30 for about 2 months. It does ease up a little getting the mag seated, But I think it will always be tighter than other glocks and this technique should be used.
As far as getting the 10th rd in the mag, that will ease up too. At first, I couldn't get the 10th rd in either. I loaded 9 and used the mag loader to work the spring up and down, a lot of times. After a while, i could get teh 10th round in the mag using the mag loader. After going to the range twice, I was able to load the 10th round without the mag loader, but it isn't easy.
Good luck and enjoy your new G 30. I love mine.
A trick a friend taught me was when you get to #8 or 9 when it is getting tougher to get that 19th round in is to slam the base plate in your palm once or twice and for some reason the 10th then goes in easier. It will loosen up with time. BTW, www.rmholsters.com are some of the most underated mag holders and holdters on the market with a liftime gaurantee. Give jeff a cal or visit his site, call him, and discuss what you are wanting. He made me the best holster for my HK USPf 45.
