View Full Version : New G21
Finally got my new Glock 21 and love it! Should have gotten it sooner.
Whats your thoughts on your G21?

Very nice solid gun, but not for me. I needed a little more practical for CCW, but I'll probably get another just to add to my newly formed collection. Good luck with it!

not a ccw for me but I cant say enough about my G21 I like the feel one of my better shooting guns had just a few mods done to it and thats all kinda wish I could carry it but its just to hard to conseal thats why I have a G29 and G36 :)
I love my G21. It is harder to conceal the big ole 21, bt not impossible. I have a 30 for carry and the 21 for range/bolwing pin work and love them both. I don't even want any other Glocks now. I have fired other caliber Glocks (9mm, 10mm, .40), but feel the .45acp Glocks are the best for me.

I shoot the 30 much better than the 21, something about the frame profile on that size gun with teh full size grip I just don't do well... the shorter grip fits me better.

That happens with some people for some reason. I shoot them both about the same. I however needed the 9 round magazines to shoot the 30 well. The 10 rounders do not fit my hand well as they make the grip a little too short for a full grip and too long for a 4 finger grip with me. The 9 rounder allows a nice 4 finger grip and I carry G21 13 rounders for backup which allow a full grip.
The G21 and G30 are a great combo to own.
Years ago, just after the G36 became available, I bought a G21, a G36 and a G30 to compare them against each other.
Well, finances being what they are (everything costs 2X what it did six years ago, FCS) I sold the 'losers'.
The G36 had a too-narrow grip and sacrificed capacity for that 'plus'. Out that went.
The G21 was excellent, but unnecessarily bulky...just like the Ruger P90 I transitioned away from by going Glock.
And I had one light strike failure with the G21 in maybe 5000 rounds...whereas my G30 is over 25,000 rounds and has never bobbled once.

I know, I know, I'm saving for a G-30 now.

Hey 40pirate, I like that G21L. Nothing more perfect in .45 acp than a 6" G21!

I really like it too, I've had a bunch of .45s over the years but none I liked better than this one.

I keep telling myself that I am going to get that longslide. I already have the barrel and use it for bowling pin matches, but everytime I have the moeny for the slide I find somethign I cannot live without. This last time (last week) was a pristine used Ruger Race Rifle 10/22 with scope and everything and a NIB Witness Match .40. Both are EXCELLENT guns that I do not regret buying. But, I STILL want that longslide. God, it looks soooo awesome.

:) I've been carrying a G-21 almost everyday for the past 4 years. I'm a big guy; so it doesn't seem like a large pistol to me. I've got an extended and ported 5 1/2" Bar-Sto Precision barrel on it, too!
