Another nite sight question between Mepro & Truglo TFO

I'm a police officer who just got hired into a new department that issued me a Glock 23. It has a set of trijicons but they belong to the previous officer and will be switched out for the standard glock sight. I don't care for that dot in the box though and night sights are almost a must.

Now I've researched through all the previous posts about this topic and have pretty much settled on a set of the Truglo TFO's or a set of the Mepros. The Mepros have a pretty decent track record but I seen that a lot of you guys really like the TFO's too. My previous pistol was the HK USP Compact with a set of PT night sights. They were functional, and had a lot of options to choose from but I'm not sure I want to go with another set.

I also fired off an email to ameriglo too. I never heard of them before reading the posts here so I'm a little leary. But if the price is right I'll give them a chance.

I know you have beat this topic to death, but any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Here's what I know...

Mepolight: Bright, durable, well-made, combat-type target sights. These Israeli-made tritium sights have earned a great reputation, and are/were the Glock standard for night sights. +

Trijicon: All of the above with "sharper markers" day & night. Narrower front sight for sharper shooters. Great product. Trijicon supplies the tritium ampoules for several other manufacturers. +

XS: Outstanding fast acquisition combat-type sights. The latest trend is to use the non-illuminated rear sight with the Standard or Big Dot front sight. Well-made. Not the best "target sights" for most shooters. +

AmeriGlo: Newer product offering--very well received. Offer sets and individual sight components. Offer popular yellow rear with green front tritium. "Operator" model is a hit! Great customer service--answered all my questions. Sells direct.

TruGlo TFO: Brilliant design offers illuminated sights under all conditions! Rave reviews by most new owners! Some well-founded quality control and durability issues. Poorest overall warranty I've seen. Good OEM customer service (no direct sales).
