View Full Version : My East German Mak
I just purchased this last week from Empire Arms. It is in great shape with some pitting on the slide. Can't wait to take it to the range.

That is a sweet looking pistola! I'm buying one from Dennis this weekend as i just got my brand new C&R FFL in the mail. The East German maks are the best of the breed and certainly won't be around forever.:)
all maks are worthy.i had a bulgie.but my 1960 model EG MAK IS THE CHEESE WIZZ!The trigger rivels anything that from the factory.smooth indeed.much improved over the PPK design.the mak allso is slightly larger in every dimention but the 9 x 18 mak round is much improved over the 9 x 17 kurtz or .380 round.the 9mm bullit diameter is actuarly 9.2 mm.

My EG Mak trigger is perfect as well. Light DA and smooth. I had to work on my Bulgarian a good bit to get it as good as my EG.
Very nice Nicky. Is it your first? You're about to become addicted.

Tell me about it! This is my 4th. I have 2 Bulgarians, 1 Russian 380 and now this East German. I am always looking out for Maks, they are great little guns.

I'm in full agreement....
1st....great looking gun Nicky D!!
2nd....East German Maks are the pick of the litter in my book.
My E. German has a great trigger. My Bulg. Maks just didn't.
Thus, I have shed the others and have kept the E. German.
It's a keeper.
