Was the white Dodge Challenger in "Vanishing Point" a 1970 or 1971 model ? The date of the movie on the credits says that it was made in 1971. I cannot tell the diffence between between the 70 or 71............(By the way,....go to Google and pull up the 2006 Dodge Challenger concept car. It kicks ass.)

The original movie starred Barry Newman. I was relieced in 1971. I have never seen the remake of it which was done around 1997....I have seen the movie maybe 15 times. Amoung car chase movies,.....it ranks in there with the original "Gone In 60 Seconds,".....which was relieced in 1974.

I have the original movie. Back in the 80's I went to the mopar nationals in indy and they had a tent set up showing the car that was in the tv version of vanishing point made in the 80's there was a hemi engine on a stand next to the car. This movie was really watered down compared to the first one.
