View Full Version : Joining the club soon!
I have an Olive Drab Glock 30 ordered...the dealer that found me one said it'll likely show up at my local dealer tomorrow.
Just thought I'd pop my head in and say, "Hi!" :)
:welcome:
Now get an OD G21 to match ;)
The G30 makes a good all-around handgun IMO. When I sell mine, it will be to get a newer G30.
Woohoo, picked it up today! Brand new in box (I even got to break the seal on it). Looks from the fired case date that it was made in July 2004. Serial number starts with GLL.
Any issues with any 30's made around that time that I should know about?

Not that I know of. I know they have a new trigger part for the .45s and 10mm, (has a "-1" on it). I supposedly makes the striker hit the primer harder to help cure some light striking issues. I have not had any issues with light strikes in either of my .45 cal Glocks with factory ammo and niether of them have the new trigger.
Thanks, I'll keep an eye out for that. I did notice that it doesn't shoot a pencil out of the barrel as vigorously as my 9mm Glocks...
Some quick pictures - I'll take a slew more once I put some Trijicons I have ordered on it.

2? You got a 2 serial number? Too cool.
I got my NIB G30 about a month ago. It was a 2002 gun that had sat in the dealer's safe. This guy moves a ton of Jennings, Brycos, Jimenez, etc., so his clientele isn't exactly interested in a .45 GLOCK. Their loss.
I got it for pretty close to a steal.
It has already proven reliable and has replaced the G23 as the bedside gun.
I need night sights, too.

Naw, I photoshopped out the last two digits. Though I'm about to post a question about the need for doing that..seems silly to me and as a "photo-enthusiast" I hate how it makes the guns look a little unnatural when you remove some of the digits...
