I love my G21 so much I don't think I'll ever part with, unless Glock comes out with a Hi-Cap long slide in 45ACP.I've got a 3.5lb connector, ext. slide release, and XS std. dots on it.It's a perfect carry gun for me.We might not ever see a factory long slide 45,but we can still wish.

Oh yeah,if they ever do come out with a long slide 45,I'll use it as my CCW.I carried a G35 for 2 years and it never bothered me.
I'd give up the 21 for a 20.

Why? With a KKM barrel, you can have both (you can't go 10mm to .45).
I am still trying my hardest to get that longlside Lonewolf sells. My G21 has a 6" KKM hunting barrel and is my bowling pin gun. It works quite well in that role.
But if Glock offered a factory G21 longslide, I would be all over it.

What Gun Would You Give Up Your G21 For?
Been 'selling my Glocks,' to re-build my stock pile of Colt/Kimber/Springfield Armory, 1911's. I just rather carry, or shoot, the 1911's. The Glocks have been good guns for me, don't get me wrong..... But 'for me' i get much more from a quality 1911. I will keep the G20, and G27, G30, the rest have already gone, and one more, will go this weekend, in order to buy another Colt 1911.

I too would only trade my G21 for a longslide G21. Other than that...
NO WAY !!!!!!!!!

I would trade nothing , for mine. I just bought a G-21 and I've traded a rifle for my G-30, and no I will not trade anything for that either.
And tell me how do you like your sites. I've heard that some shooters don't think they're good for anything beyond 5 yards.
I don't believe that to be true at all, however, it's my opinion a lot of people out there, just aren't used to the XS sights.

I've got the Standard Dots on my G21 and can't say it's hurt my accuracy out to 25 yards at all.I had a G27 with Big Dots and was the most accurate 40 I've ever had,but it wasn't as accurate after the Big Dots.I shot it better with the plain factory sights.I wouldn't recommend the Big Dots, but would the Standard Dots.I do have a Big Dot front on my 870 and love it.
I have the dot on the front sight and the half square on the rear sight. There ok but I wish they were metal opposed to soft plastic. I will be diffinitely be replacing them with a good set of night sights.
Sehr gut Glock

I set my 21 aside to train with my 30, but God willing I'll never want to give it up.
Except for a Kimber 1911.
J/K!!!!!:rollsmiley:
Springfield Armory 1911 Mil-spec., parkerized, almost NIB if possible.
Noting wrong with my G21, but it gets less range time than any of my other guns. The reason? Just not as much fun to shoot as the others. I love the relatively low recoil, the low maintenance, and the reliability. It just doesn't fit my hand as well as the 1911, and harder to conceal. Mostly use it as a car gun now.
So.. I'll be looking to sell or trade the beast at a gunshow in the future. Should get some nibbles-- has Trijicons and five 13 rd. mags.

A three screw Ruger Blackhawk .45Colt with a 7.5" barrel. Got the jones. Bad.
A Glock M30.
Had all three ACP's, 21, 30 and 36...stuck with the 30 and sold the rest.
Not sure - I've had a 2nd Gen G21 sitting in my safe since about 1995. It's never been out.

I also have a G30 and carry it, but I still love the big ole beast.

I gave up my G-21 for an XD45! It is thinner and holds the same number of rounds!

A Springfield Armory Professional. And that's just what I did. I don't regret it but I plan to buy a Glock 21 again because I miss that beast.

Possibly the HK45 when it comes out. I will have to admit, it would have to damn near be able to stand up and sing a tune to beat my G21. I do like the ambi safety and slide release on it. And the fact it will have a picatinny rail now too. We'll see.

That's what I did. Since I've made my G20/21L coming on 2 years ago, I've yet to reinstall the stock G21 slide. I've got about 10,000rds of a combination of 45 and 10mm through the frame and It's still a blast to shoot. I think I like it more now than the day I finished it (which is hard for me to believe). I guess I'd say that I'm hooked.
How did you do it?
Was it very difficult?
Is there a guide kicking around by any chance?

Go to www.lonewolfdist.com and buy this item. (BTW there are only a few left and when they are gone that is it).

You will also need an aftermarket 6" barrel.
Here is mine.

Do I get the same part and a 10MM barrel if I plan to make a G20 long slide?

Yes you need that slide (which I would get first since there is supposedly only 4 or 5 left and no more are being made).
Then you need a 6" KKM .45-10mm barrel. It is specifically designed to convert a .45 caliber Glock to 10mm. Then you need a G20 LCI/extractor (loaded chamber indicator/extractor) that works with both .45 and 10mm, so once you switch it out, it can stay. Then all you need is some 10mm mags and maybe a heavier spring (I found out the hard way that the Wolff uncaptured guide rod and springs do not work with the longslide :frown: ). Go with a captured THE (which I think Glockmiester sells) as that seems to work.
My setup is .45 only for right now. The longslide does not have any cutouts in it like the G34/35/17L/24, so it weighs more. With the stock spring in it and my heavier than usual bowling pin loads the brass only goes about 2-3 feet (and sometimes hits my head). So I think it the stock spring should be fine for 10mm with that slide.
Only a new Glock 21! Maybe a long-slide .45 after I tried it out a bit.

I would say, after some thought how about I would choose a BHP 9mm, or Colt .45 since parts are out there. And we have lots of people to work on them.
But, for the most part the glocks are easily rebuilt, so I'll stick to my Glocks as well. Steve Camp, did a real good review and artical on the BHP 9mm, so learned why I should not throw it out as a carry gun and survival gun.
