Trade G30 for G36?

I have a night sighted G30 pistol, and while I like it for shooting, it really isn't a good CC pistol for me, even in it's CTAC/ cover garment, etc.. Just too dang wide.

My carry Bobtailed Commander is in the shop, and will be for 2-4 months, so I've been carrying the G30. My 1911's are too rust prone for sweaty hip carry without cleaning several times weekly. I finally broke down and ordered a CTAC conversion of my old Comp Tac holster for my Kel Tec P-40, and it'll probably become primary carry for the rest of the summer. And sometimes, I just plain cheat on the rest of my pistols and carry the little P3AT.

I'm considering to offer it to trade for a G36, which may work better for me. Any opinions about comparable value or G36 problems that would make it a losing deal?

I have never owned a Glock 30. I do have a 36 and love it. If you get one the first thing you will notice is how comfortable it is on the hip. I have run all kinds of ammo thru mine. Several kinds of 230 hardball, 230 Golden Saber, 230 Federal HST +P, Hornady 230 +P, Speer Lawman 200 +P. It has digested everything I have run thru it without a hitch. For all round use I will stick with the standard preasure loads. I just wanted to try out the +P to see how they shot.

You won't be sorry with the 36 but may regret later trading your 30. Why not trade one of those rusting 1911's? (Before anybody attacks, I like them too!) Or carry your 40 while you save for the 36 which, like the Hiker, I've never had any problems with either. I also carry Golden Saber 230 gr. in both.
