View Full Version : Size comparison, PPK and PPK/s
Is there any difference in size between the PPK and PPK/s?
The reason I ask is I just purchased a holster for my PPK/s and the ad only mentions it fits the PPK. I was thinking the two pistols are the exact same size, but now I'm not so sure of myself.
Do you know for sure?

I believe the PPK/S is slightly larger.
To comply with 1968 Gun Control Act, Walther made the PPK/S for import.
They took the SLIDE from the PPK and put it on the RECEIVER of the PP
and named this "new" gun the PPK/S.
The PPK and the PPK/S both have the same barrel length but the frame
(receiver) will be a little larger (a little less than a 1/2").
A PPK holster will work for a PPK/s. The slides are identical. The difference is the PPK/s butt is a bit longer as the frame is the PP. You're good to go.
Thanks, gentlemen.....
It looks like it ought to work ok. This pic is the new holster. It will make the fourth holster I have for my PPK/s. Don Hume belt slide, Done Hume IWB, Safariland paddle, and now this Galco ankle rig. I have other good choices, but the PPK/s is becoming my favorite carry gun....small, not too heavy, dependable, accurate, stainless, slim single stack, quick reloading, powerful enough to have confidence in the outcome....everything I've been looking for in a CCW.
The PPK/s may not be the best choice for everyone, but I believe it's perfect for my particular needs.
