I traded mine for a Keltec 32, and then for a 38T. No regrets at all. fowler 07-30-2006, 13:07 I tryed a Kel-tec P-32 a few years back and it was unreliable! I,ll stick with the 950 for mouse and SW J airlite for pocket. THe little 950,s are dead reliable in the last 6 I have had over the years. 1953 to 1998 last ones made. I see the Blue ones asking $225,Inox $275 , EL Hi grade polish blue with Gold inlays and walnut grips near $300. I tryed a couple of M-21 22 long rifles and a 32 Tomcat ,but traded them off for being near the size of my 340pd in thickness. IF I could pocket a Tomcat I could as easy pocket the SW. Brian Dover 07-31-2006, 12:38 The only thing that ever bothered me about the 950, or Model 20/21 for that matter, is the lack of an extractor. But having owned a few of them, that never became more than a hypothetical shortcoming. But nowadays I just resign myself to dressing around a bigger, more potent handgun, and the 950 just goes along to the range as a plinker. (I have to justify owning the .25acp dies and shellplate somehow.) ;) Oh my, really "outed" myself there eh? Sudden 07-31-2006, 15:02 The lack of extractor bothered me also. The process for a misfire is not the same as a pistol with an extractor. I bought some Hornady JHPs for mine this weekend. Now my magazine is jammed up with new rounds. I think it is bent. I've noticed lately it was dragging on insertion and removeal. Anyone have an extra mag or two they want to sell? fowler 07-31-2006, 16:08 Stick with ball the Speer 35gr.hp lacks penatration. I just got a extra mag new in the wrapper for $18 local and berretta too! thingamajig 08-02-2006, 11:00 I saw one for sale recently, and it wasn't there when I went back. :( mrwiggins 08-07-2006, 01:56 reliable, simple, i'm about to make a thread relating to one of the 380 berettas because i want to make it look more like the model 950 jetfire or the model 92FS. simonrichter 12-20-2006, 10:12 Just traded off my FIE Titan for a Jetfire. The Titan was a pice of crap, and I was just about to give up the whole mouse gun thing and buy a compact size as a second weapon. But then I got the Jetfire... Although it´s second hand, it´s a real fine peace of gunsmithing with the tip up barrel and an eight-round mag at 4,75" overall length. deputy tom 12-20-2006, 19:10 Talk about reviving an old thread but I love mine.I've had several over the years and carried one as my back-up for more than twenty years.Too bad they quit making them.tom. buddah 12-22-2006, 10:10 New owner of a beretta here. I own several brands of guns, but no beretta's. Until 3 days ago. A co-worker wanted to sell me his 950BS 25 ACP for $65.00. I took a look at it and it was in "New" condition. Even though I have a Kel-tec P32, I couldn't resist because of the price. I have pocket knives that costs more than this gun. However, while taking the gun apart to clean it yesterday I tightened the left grip screw too tight and cracked the whole grip panel. I felt like an idiot. I went to local gun store to get replacement and had no luck. The owner told me that it is rare to see a 950BS w/o a cracked grip. He said the grips are crappy plastic that get brittle w/ age and he showed me 3 used 950BS he had for sale all w/ cracked grips. I called Pearce grips w/ no luck. I got lucky when I called Beretta. They are sending me a set of replacements for $17.00.I guess Santa arrived early this year for me. Can't wait to test this gem out @ range. mrwiggins 12-22-2006, 16:16 don't let the external extractor thing stop you from owning one, the tip up barrel allows any problems to be corrected quickly. michael t 12-25-2006, 00:11 Best 25 auto made I love mine its 100% relieable. My 12 year old daugther makes it walk and talk. She claimes its hers I used one for SD in early 80's guy tried to rob me with a knife in a parking garage around 3am I drew my Jet fire and all he saw was gun and did a Road Runner out of garage. I bet he could have out ran the bullets. Ulysses 12-29-2006, 20:19 How do you carry these? Are they safe to carry cocked and locked and is the safety easy to get off? Also, I imagine carry with the hammer down is dangerous? Is there firing pin safety? deputy tom 12-31-2006, 21:22 Originally posted by Ulysses How do you carry these?
