I know this topic may not be the most popular but I need advice.
My Father In-Law is in need of a crossbow this hunting season. The reason is because he had surgery to remove a tumor from his spinal cord a few years back and now he has lost about 30% of his use and feeling on his right side. So a regular Bow will not work.
In Michigan you have to get a permit signed by a Doctor and approved by the DNR to hunt with a crossbow. He got that last year but didnít want to use a crossbow. Well after not being able to shoot real good he feels it would be better to go to the crossbow so he is confident that he can make each of his shots count. He like most people donít want to wound a deer and never find it.
He has asked me to help in finding a good reliable crossbow for him to use.
Anyone have any advice on this. I have heard some have a crank to pull the string back. Is this common? I think something like that would help out a bunch. With out a crank are they hard to pull back?

Any help would be great.

Thanks,
Kodiak
