Islamorada Bonefish

I took my girlfriend to the Keys for her first ever trip there.

I spent four wonderful summers there in the 80s during my college vacations. To say a lot has changed is an understatement.

I splurged for a room at the Cheeca Lodge. Glorious is not even close to describing how nice a place it is.

After hooking and losing 2 nice bonefish, she successfully cast to and landed this fish- 5 lbs 7 oz.

Great afternoon on the Flats. We will be going back soon.

Very nice! Was that on a flyrod?
My wife & I spent our honeymoon in the Keys.
Didn't get to fish because of bad weather but I figure I have an anniversary every year that I can use as an excuse to go back!

Nice fish :thumbsup: I go down to Biscayne Bay in Miami to go fishing for bonefish and tarpon. For their size, I think bonefish are the best fighting fish in the ocean.
